Cashing in on a Daddy Date!

For Christmas, the girls and I made "Daddy Date Coupons" for them to give to Scott.  They had so much fun coming up with ideas for their dates...one for each month.  Cute ideas and things I wouldn't have ever thought of without them.  Those two sure know and love their daddy!

Well, Hayden just got to cash in one of her dates...Chick-Fil-A Date with Daddy!!  As always, she was MORE than excited and they both gushed about their time together ;).  Scott has been writing little notes about what they do on their dates....what sweet memories they'll share!!

And here are some details I got out of the little lady....

M:  So what did you and daddy talk about on your date!?
H:  Well, we just ate our food.  But some people talked to us and daddy told them that Emmy and Bubba were at home with Momma.
M: And what did y'all eat?
H:  We ate nuggets and daddy got tea and I got chocolate milk.  And we got our OWN fries!  Did I already tell you that?
M:  Wow.  Your own fries, huh?  That sounds special.
H:  Yeah, and then we went to the store to look at trees.  And I got a game at Chick-Fil-A.  See?
M:  Well I'm so glad you had fun!
H:  Yeah.  Did I already tell you we got our OWN fries!?  (Clearly, this meant a lot to our little lady).

They called me upstairs to watch their little concert, and we ROCKED OUT!!

Mommy's Sous Chef

Our sweet Hayden is just about the most domestic little girl you've ever met!  She LOVES cooking, cleaning & taking care of babies.  It's precious!  Her daddy likes to joke that he can't imagine where she's even seen those things!  Har-dee-har ;).  But she really has become my own personal little sous chef!  She always wants to help with dinner & I love having my sidekick right there!

Today Em had preschool & we skipped out on Tiny Tots (because of all that rain!) which gave us the perfect opportunity to get our "bake" on!!  When I asked what she wanted to make, she quickly chose cupcakes.  She immediately started planning how excited her big sister and daddy would be when they saw our surprise!  So thoughtful ;).  So we got down to business!

Gettin' her Hair Did!

Our little miss was needing a haircut....BADLY!!  In fact, some might say her hair was in very real danger of being considered a mullet.  Yikes!!  Of course, her daddy was really putting up a fight because he loves the girls' long hair.  But I just had to assure him that it would look so much better.  And thanks to Courtney, it DOES!!  Sweet girl sat perfectly still & did a great job getting her cute new cut!

So our Hayden is working on learning her colors over here, and I remembered doing this with Em when she was younger.  And what a great idea it was!!  They loved every minute of it...adding the colored drops to their milk, "painting" their bread and of course, gulping the milk & gobbling up their rainbow bread!!

Since Em already knows the basic colors, we tried to bump it up a notch and worked on:

turquoise, chartreuse & magenta!

A day at the park!

Today we had ourselves a little park playdate with our good buddy, T!!  Isn't this weather beautiful!?  And that sweet little guy, it's hard to know which of my girlies love him more, but this time, Hayden managed to get a little hand holdin' in ;).

Sweets & Treats Party

Hope you didn't think our Valentine fun was over, because there's just a bit more!!  Last Saturday, we were able to attend Rachel & Avery's 3rd Annual Valentine's Party!!  It was precious, as usual, and was really fun because all the daddies got to come this time!!  The girlies got right to work on their cards and yummy Valentines trail mix.  Avery, Rachel and their mommies always do a fabulous job coming up with activities that we LOVE!!

And here are a few of the other fun party guests...such a fun excuse to get to spend the morning with our friends!!  We love them for sure ;).

And we couldn't leave before decorating some cookies!  We even made one for brother...too bad he can't eat yet ;).  The girls just felt so bad that he slept through all the fun.  Ha!
