“This is our temporary home…

…it’s not where we belong. Windows and rooms that we’re passing through. This is just a stop on the way to where we’re going. We’re not afraid because we know….this is our temporary home.”
(Song by Carrie Underwood)

We feel so blessed that God has given us this new home, but we know it’s just a house. It’s not our forever home. It‘s just a place we get to live until we see Him someday! But until we get there, we plan to live here in a way that honors him!

We’ve had so much fun stopping by every few days to check out the progress and today we got to do something so fun and special. Daddy spent time “writing them on the doorframes of your homes” and the girls, well, they just spend time writing on the walls ;).  We also spent time thanking God for blessing us and praying that we will honor Him as we live here as a family.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
